The Junior Golf Leadership workshop is a 3 hour course aimed at volunteers wishing to introduce the basics of golf to young people, it is designed for young sports leaders and club volunteers. The course looks at all aspects of working with groups of children including, motivation, communication and organisation. Candidates will also be provided with practical information regarding the introduction of basic golfing practices to children as well as, delivery stratergies, health and safety and planning.
This workshop will train sports leaders to support trained teachers and PGA qualified coaches in school and club-based environments.
The course has been designed to meet the criteria of Sports Leaders UK level 1 and offers an excting look at how young people can get involved in golf coaching sessions. The workshop is also beneficial for golf club volunteers to offer extended support for junior sections at club level.
