ALTRENATIVE OLYMPICS

All info & org has been e-mailed & provided to schools. Please make sure you have the correct numbers ready to attend! Please also remember that you are required to provide a minimum of 6 sports leaders for the day!

INTRA HOUSE ROWING

St. Boniface KS3 Intra House Rowing Competition was a huge success once again. Frank & PE staff all have an electronic copy of the results. Certificates are being produced for the top 3 in each House, the top 3 in each year & the winning House in each year group. I’m in the process of booking dayes for a KS3 & 4 competition next year

ST. BONIFACE QUAD KIDS PROPOSAL

This has been booked to go ahead on Fri 16th July with YEAR 7: Period 1 & 2. Can all staff please make sure they are available to help! Trudi, we could do the same at Notre Dame?

NOTRE DAME SCHOOL CLUBS

• I have had to cancel ND Golf Club on a Monday due to lack of numbers.
• I have had students asking for the Climbing Club to start again. I will look at providing this on a Mon lunch & Mon after school.

ST. BONIFACE SCHOOL CLUBS

• I may have to cancel Tennis Club due to lack of numbers. The club has been postponed for 2 weeks due to exams & Activities Week.
• Golf has been a huge success & the last 2 weeks will be based at Yelverton Golf Club & culminate in a Texas Scramble Comp. I’m happy to take boys, however, I though someone else may be interested?

SSCO COACHES

All SSCO coaches have been provided with an ID badge to wear into schools. The badge proves that they are employed by the partnership or a linked club. This will prove that they have been CRB checked.

All details of employed coached can be found on the SSCO Web Site!

NEW ACADEMIC YEAR

All dates for the new academic year are being posted on the events calendar on the SJH Web Site. Many of the events are now bookable, so you can get organised for next term & get important dates on your whole school calendars.

GOLF LEADERS AWARD

This has been cancelled due to a lack of interest form schools

LEVEL 1 FA AWARD

Places have become available for the Level 1 Award. The course takes place on 28th 30th June and 1st & 2nd July. Students must attend all days to received the award. This course has been funded by the SSP, which means the cost to students is £50 as apposed to the usual £170!

NOTRE DAME ARCHERY

We have an opportunity to apply for some funding, in partnership with the archery club, to develop an after school club

LATE BUS FOR NOTRE DAME & ST. BONIFACE

It looks like we have been able to secure a late bus 1 day a week for a 6 week period, starting in Sept. ND should have received a small student survey to do in lessons this week. The plan is the bus will pick up at St. Boniface & then ND. It will make 3 stops on Outland Road & finish at Bretonside Bus Station.
