Schools for the Future

This page is intended to act as a communication tool throughout the consultation phase for the BSF PE and Sport stakeholder group.

While the group has no decision making authority, its job is to research, consult and make recommendations to the BSF Committee and Executive.

The main focus of the Forum needs be on a vision for the future for PE and sport in schools – what would we like to see in 20 years time? The group need to think about transformation not modernisation.

Your views on the group are represented by;

• Graham Pearson Director of Sport from Eggbuckland Community College.
• Jo Ricks representing the Schools in the Plymstock School Sports Partnership
• Mike Carpenter representing the schools in the Sir John Hunt School Sports Partnership.

The five schools in Phase 1 of the Programme (£80m, 10% to be spent on ICT) are:

• Stoke Damerel CC (New build)
• Sir John Hunt C Sports C (ICT only)
• Lipson CC (Refurbishment)
• Tamarside CC/MAP Academy (Refurbishment)
• John Kitto CC/C of E Academy (Refurbishment)
